Kol Nidrei Appeal
Kol Nidrei Appeal
Dear Friends,
As we enter the month of Tishrei, our shul takes on a special atmosphere. The white coverings of the Torahs, the Bima, and the Aron remind us of the holiness of these days. The machzorim are laid out, the floral arrangements are fresh, and the melodies of our chazzanim lift our tefillos. The drashos inspire us, and the spirit of the season fills every corner of Congregation Poale Zedeck.
At our recent general membership meeting, I was heartened to see the energy and commitment of so many members. We spoke honestly about challenges and opportunities, and I left feeling optimistic. That spark of involvement can ignite a resurgence in our shul. We already see it happening:
- A reinvigorated Youth Department with new activities and strong turnout
- An updated Ritual Committee in formation
- A House Committee making visible improvements to our building
- A Programming Committee with new faces and new ideas
- An Executive Committee listening carefully and following through
Together, these efforts remind me that the future of our shul is bright.
Tishrei always leaves me uplifted. I hear it from many of you as well—the davening, the melodies, the sense of community, and the joy of Simchas Torah. Every year I say: if we could bottle this energy and carry it forward for the next eleven months, we would be set for the year. Let us all try to do exactly that—whether by coming to shul for an extra weekday minyan, arriving earlier on Shabbos morning, or volunteering for a committee. Every small step adds to the vibrancy of our community.
And now I must ask something important of you. The Kol Nidrei Appeal is the backbone of our shul’s financial health. It allows us to sustain our programs, our daily tefillos, and our mission to deliver a meaningful, inspirational Torah way of life to our community. Your gift is not just a contribution—it is an investment in the future of Poale Zedeck.
I thank you in advance for your generosity and partnership. May your support help ensure that our shul continues to grow and thrive for years to come.
Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy, and sweet new year.
